Creating your first project

Projects are at the heart of Hammr. Here's how to create your first one and start tracking work.

Go to the Projects page and click 'New Project.' Fill in the project name, description, address, and client. Set the start date, estimated end date, and budget if you have them.

Once created, your project starts in 'Planning' status. You can move it through stages: Planning → In Progress → On Hold → Completed.

Adding Tasks. Inside each project, you can create tasks to break the work down into manageable pieces. Assign tasks to team members, set due dates, and track status (To Do, In Progress, Completed, Blocked).

Linking Estimates and Invoices. You can create estimates and invoices directly from a project. This keeps all financial documents connected to the right job for easy reference.

Uploading Documents. Store permits, contracts, blueprints, and site photos in the project's Documents section. Everything your team needs is in one place.

Tracking Progress. Use the project overview to monitor completion percentage, budget vs. actual costs, and upcoming task deadlines. The dashboard also shows a summary of all your active projects.
